Being a truly international company, Franklin Fueling Systems (FFS) takes its people’s safety seriously wherever they are, be it on an installation site, in the office, or at home. To emphasize the importance of safety, FFS held a Global Safety Day in conjunction with its esteemed partner Shell on June 6, 2012. The event was focused on ‘Goal Zero’ and Forecourt Safety, as well as personal safety.
Forecourt safety concentrated on gas station safety, such as traffic flow and user tips on what to do if a tank overflows. Goal Zero covered overall safety for everyone in every situation. Shell’s Goal Zero safety initiative focuses on striving for total safety, because being 99.9% safe is just not safe enough.
The event also focused on promoting safety not only at work but also at home. As an effective means for promoting safety at work and at home, FFS speakers showed pictures of their families as examples of why they strive to achieve Goal Zero.
The Safety Day event was successful and highlighted how important safety is on a day to day basis, leaving a notable impression on many employees.
If you think that a 99.9% safety policy is good enough, watching this Shell safety video, which was screened during Safety Day, might change your mind. Click here to watch the video on YouTube.
