Gemini Fittings Receive UL Listing, Ready for Order

11/08/2012

Franklin Fueling Systems is pleased to announce that the elbow models of the Gemini Secondary Fittings have achieved UL listing and are now available for order. For use with the UPP Semi-Rigid Pipework System, both the 90° and the combination In-line/45° elbows have achieved this UL listing after undergoing numerous procedures to test the strength and durability of the revolutionary new design featured on Gemini.

Successful testing included a 250 psi pressure test (that’s five times the 50 psi working pressure of an average site), which pitted the fittings against high pressurization over an extended period of time. The successful completion not only speaks to the durability of Gemini’s rugged design but also allows Gemini Secondary Fittings to be installed as part of a “closed” direct bury secondary pipework system in addition to an “open” system. As the utmost method for leak detection and prevention, a “closed” secondary system is held under constant pressure which allows for immediate and accurate notification should any type of leak in the system be detected.

The 90° elbow fitting allows you to make a right turn in your pipe run while the combination In-line/45° elbow serves a dual purpose by allowing you to stock a single product for both fitting types.
