Franklin Fueling Systems is pleased to announce the successful completion of KIWA Netherlands EN Pipe certification, which is a claim only a few pipe suppliers in the world can make.
KIWA certification is a prerequisite to installing pipework systems in the Dutch market. It comprises an extensive audit of the company's manufacturing operations and quality systems, together with a series of demanding product tests.
This certification required certain product testing at levels above and beyond typical EN piping testing. These tests include individual material soak procedures which test for fuel permeability resistance and compatibility confirmation. This enhanced product testing provides an additional means to confirm material compatibility, in addition to the standard EN14125 testing, and also further confirms the durability of our piping system in regards to compatibility with fuels.
The pipe was also subjected to advanced life cycle testing, which required at minimum 20 years life expectancy. UPP™ brand piping performed well beyond this requirement.
Manufacturing facility auditing is also required to ensure product being sold is the same as what was originally tested. This regular auditing of inventory provides customers with a peace-of-mind that they are installing product that meets certification requirements.
Commenting on this latest accolade, Allan Busch, Piping and Containment Product Manager says, “This extensive and rigorous process further confirms the robust state-of-the-art design and world-class quality manufacturing of our UPP™ brand piping system.”
