The CableTight™ wire management system provides a true watertight end-to-end solution for electrical, sensor, and data wire management. With the safe and easy electrofusion welding installation process, the HDPE-constructed electrical conduit, entry seals, and sumps are joined together to form one seamless system.

Electrofusion Welding

The electrofusion welding installation process that has been used to create seamless, watertight connections for petroleum pipework systems for over 30 years is now available in a solution designed specifically for petroleum system electrical and data wiring.

Eliminate Potential Leak Paths

With continuous HDPE conduit runs of up to 1,500 feet, CableTIght™ eliminates buried conduit joints that have been traditionally made using threads, epoxy, or glue that can be susceptible to leaking.

Watertight Containment Entry

The CableTight™ System includes polyethylene coated and spigotted rigid metal conduits that are welded to HDPE entry boots, creating a watertight entry into either polyethylene or fiberglass containment sumps.

ACCURATE INSTALLATION

Connections between conduit, containment sumps, and fittings are made using the electrofusion welding process.

With the touch of a single button on the welder unit, coils embedded into each fitting are heated and then cooled to weld the individual components into one seamless, watertight connection.

FLEXIBLE HDPE CONDUIT

CableTight™ flexible conduit is constructed of HDPE (high density polyethylene) and comes available in 1,000' or 1,500' coils that can be rolled out into long continuous runs, free of joints.

Long Runs

The long conduit runs help to eliminate potential liquid entry paths from threaded or glued buried joints that need to be made every 10' with traditional PVC or steel conduit.

Durable

The conduit’s flexible construction wont crack when bent during cold-weather installation or shatter if accidentally struck by a tool or stepped on after they’ve been laid out on a busy job site. 

Reels

CableTight™ flexible conduit comes pre-loaded on a compact reel allowing electrical contractors to quickly and easily pull long runs of conduit onsite.

RIGID METALLIC CONDUIT

For watertight end connections, the HDPE flexible conduit is electrofusion welded directly to bendable 6' sticks of rigid metal conduit that are either fully coated with PE or have a PE spigot connector depending on the application.

WATERTIGHT CONTAINMENT ENTRIES

The HDPE elements of the CableTight™ System allow installers to make watertight entries into both polyethylene or fiberglass containment sumps.

CableTight UL - Watertight - Poly.psd

Polyethylene Sumps

For polyethylene sumps, CableTight polyethylene entry seals weld directly to the sump’s wall, creating a bond that’s even stronger than either of the two components on their own.

Fiberglass Sumps

For fiberglass sumps, CableTight fiberglass entry seals feature two rigid halves that compress into place on the sump wall, removing exposed rubber that can break down over time.

  • Flexible conduit (HDPE): UL Certification of Compliance to UL651A, (HPDE conduit meets NEC 2017 Code Requirements, NFPA 70-2017 (Section No. 514.8 Underground Wiring).
  • Rigid metal conduits: UL Certificate of Compliance to UL6 & UL971.
  • Electrofusion fittings: UL Certificate of Compliance to UL971.
