The secondary containment monitoring (SCM) system detects leaks in double-wall piping, tanks, and containment sumps. The system utilizes the siphon/vacuum port of a submersible turbine pump to draw a vacuum on these interstitial spaces. The vacuum levels are then continuously monitored to detect any potential leaks in these double-wall containments.
Use these specialized APT™ brand tools to aid in your installation of XP pipework and containment systems.
EBW vertical check valves are used on suction system fuel lines to maintain prime. Check valves are installed directly below the dispenser pumping unit. EBW offers both single and double poppet models. Double poppet models offer twice the protection from losing prime. Metal to metal poppet seating. All valves are pressure tested to ensure accuracy.
The EBW Warden® is designed to provide a positive shut-off during a pressurized fill delivery on an aboveground storage tank. It eliminates spills and overfills, avoiding costly cleanup expenses and ground contamination. The Warden® is fully adjustable to provide shut-off in various height and capacity aboveground tanks. It is designed to fit into a 4" fill riser, making installation on new and existing locations simple and quick. Designed with inverted floats for use in small or large rectangular tanks. Requires 4" minimum ullage. Note: The Warden® is recommended for use with clean product only. Contaminated product may cause erratic operation or valve failure
Handle fuel vapors safely and efficiently with this lightweight aluminum vapor valve. The air-operated valve allows fast vapor flow during loading and unloading. The poppet is designed to open into the tank, preventing accidental leakage from product surges or from a tank truck rollover. Easy-to-use air line connections are located outside the compartment for convenient installation and maintenance. The 3.5" vapor valve comes with male NPT threads or a TTMA flange for installation in conventional 16" or 20" manholes.
APT® ducted double wall rigid entry boots allow you to create watertight connections between APT® 4” XP pipe and double wall fiberglass containment sumps. These boots are easily installed to the sump wall using adhesive (included) without the additional messy fiberglass work required. Rigid entry boots require only a single 3 ¾" entry hole for installation, eliminating the time-consuming process of drilling multiple holes as well as the templates they require.
FLEX-ING™ brand ball valves provide in-line product flow shutoff, making testing and inspection of equipment easy. Incorporating ball valves into the installation of your pipework system up front can save you on time, labor and dispenser shutdown costs for years to come. The use of ball valves allows you to isolate and shut down the flow of product to specific system components so you can perform maintenance or inspection on only the desired components, while the rest of the system remains in operation.
HEALY™ Low Permeation Conventional Hose Assembly is designed for use in refueling applications requiring reduced permeation rates of 10 g/m^2/day to improve air quality and emissions. This premium hose provides long-lasting service with multi-fuel compatibility.
UPP® dispenser sumps feature a rigid 8mm thick HDPE body with reinforced contoured structure and integrated rain lip allowing them to stand up to harsh forecourt conditions such as ground movement or hydrostatic pressure. The neck of UPP dispenser sumps can be trimmed to adjust for varying sump burial depths ensuring an efficient installation. In addition, the durable steel UPP dispenser sump top frames feature conduit entry points which allow conduit to enter the dispenser through the top frame without having to penetrate the sump wall. The galvanized steel stabilizer bars feature pre-drilled shear valve mount plates and spring channel nuts for quick mounting. UPP electrofusion entry boots allow you to connect UPP pipework directly to the dispenser sump, creating a solid, one-piece construction and eliminating potential leak paths.
