Twisted Pair Disconnects

By connecting to the site’s emergency stop system, Twisted Pair Primary Dispenser Disconnects are designed to disconnect low voltage communication conductors. These conductors include dispenser data and credit card data two-wire, twisted pair circuits for a total of 4 conductors for up to 8, 12, or 16 dispensers.

PRIMARY DISCONNECTS

Primary Disconnects provide emergency stop and service disconnect switches for dispenser data and credit card data circuits.

Emergency Stop

In the event of an emergency stop, the Primary Dispenser Disconnect will disconnect the dispenser data and credit card communication circuit.

Safe Maintenance

Toggle switches, located behind a lockable cover, allow maintenance personnel to isolate the conductors of a single dispenser for servicing purposes.

NFPA® and NEC® Code Compliance

Dispenser Disconnects provide compliance with NFPA® and NEC® Code requiring emergency disconnect and maintenance disconnects at all motor fuel dispensing facilities.

TWISTED PAIR PRIMARY DISPENSER DISCONNECTS

Primary disconnect for dispenser data and credit card data for dispensers equipped with two-wire, twisted pair circuits for data communication.

8 Dispenser Models

The 8 dispenser models connect to the emergency stop system by the means of a Class 2 transformer that is plugged into an outlet controlled by the emergency stop system.

12 & 16 Dispenser Models

The 12 or 16 dispenser models connect to the emergency stop system by the means of an AC power cord (or optional hardwire) that is plugged into an outlet controlled by the emergency stop system.

Individual Disconnects

Individual disconnects for each circuit types allows the disconnect to be located where the conductors enter the building. This can eliminate costly additional wiring and downtime that maybe required to re-route conductors to a central location such as the electrical room, during a retrofit or site upgrade.

Certifications/Approvals

  • cUL Listed 1238
  • For compliance with NEC® 514.11 and NFPA® 30A Section 6.7 requirements for Emergency
Disconnects at Motor Fuel Dispensing Facilities (controlled by E-Stop system).
  • For compliance with NEC® 514.13 requirements for Maintenance Disconnects at Motor Fuel
Dispensing Facilities (switches to disconnect individual dispenser circuits for servicing).
